I will look to see if it exists on the X-T3. Also I am wondering if it is the same as cropping afterwards or if pixels are saved by changing the format at the time the shot is taken since you aren't throwing away parts of the image. Thanks Ralph.

It is a crop. On the 24 MP models DX sensor works as 24mm X 16mm @ 24MP, the 1.3x gives a crop of 18mm X 12mm @ 15.3MP. It is handy, I use it often in the field (have fn button and dial to roll back and forth when needed). My Sony bodies have a similar crop/zoom effect called Clear Image Zoom, it is variable and goes from 1X to a full 2X. Another thing I like about features like this is if you have a lens that vignettes at DX, the change to 1.3 (or 1.3 to 1.4 on the Sony) moves you into the sweet spot with many lenses. Of course you can crop in PP for the same effect, but if out in field and I want to fill the frame, or use the best part of the lens view, it works just fine.

Nice shot and nice PP!!

I wondered if the crop feature was similar to Sony's Clear Image Zoom. Good idea to assign a function button to it. I can do that as well! Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the pics and further explanation. Looks great!

Thank you! I was happy with the end results. Don't know why I never thought of doing that before to more complicated cloning. I am not that proficient with PS although I can get around. I use a lot of the side tools and the transform tools mostly. Camera Raw is where I mostly live :)
