I recently picked up an EOS-R stepping up to FF and am very pleased, the images are awesome and Yea to BH/Payboo for the discount equal to my 6.9% CT tax.
I shoot in raw. With my 7D MkII and older 50D I used Corel's Paintshop Pro or Topaz Studio for any adjustments or edits. I update the software annually and have the latest versions. Unfortunately the converters for the new CR3 raw format are not available even on the 2019 versions of these programs. In checking with Corel and Topaz they say they do not have a release date for a CR3 reader.
I know I can use the Canon Digital Photo Professional program to open and adjust the raw files, or convert them to TIFF and go back to Paintshop/Topaz ( a pain to convert).
Not sure if LR or PS reads these new CR3 files. Any suggestions other than switching editors or just doing the conversions while waiting for Corel/Topaz to release the 2020 versions of their software to make you pay for an upgrade? Anyone else having the same frustration?

Current versions of Ps & Lr should be able to read them or do so very soon as these subscription are up dated continuously. You also could convert your CR3 Raw to DNG Raw (an Adobe generic Raw format) that most PP software should be able to open. Do you have the factory software from Canon? You should be able to start your processing and editing from there, save as a TIFF and then open it in Corel.

Adobe supports new raw formats within weeks of them being issued. Corel, by contrast, has been known to take a year to do so.

I was looking to convert to DNG but yet another step in the workflow. Don't know of a converter to get to DNG, Canon factory software (Digital Photo Professional) will only convert to TIFF or JPEG.
Similarly Apple Photos reads CR3, but the ISO field in the Info window has no data. Apple Preview and Affinity Photo have no problem with this. Apple says it's Canon's problem, Canon says the same about Apple.
There are quite a few manufacturers that have not yet supported CR3 format. The answers that I am seeing is that Canon is not supplying enough information for them to decrypt the format and allow editing within their applications. On1 Raw and others fall into that category. So I would suggest that you research what is currently supported before you purchase.
Why Canon is making it so difficult is beyond me. Seems like they would benefit from making it easier to incorporate new formats in the various applications.
I made this mistake last week with my Canon purchase. Pleased with the camera but not the Canon software. My mistake so I have to wait until software revisions come out.

I have downloaded the ADOBE DNG CONVERSION software, and I use it on my CR3 from my M50
thanks. I will give it a shot.

I recently switched to the Canon Mirrorless cameras, EOS RP. They shoot in CR3 as well and I use Corel Paintshop Pro 2018 wich does not support these RAW files. It's frustrating.

I would think you could do a batch conversion to TIFF in DPP, I know you can do batch conversion to JPG as my son does it all the time. After conversion you can proceed normally in PSP, Bob.

Hope you don't carry a balance on your B&H/Payboo credit card. The 30% interest rate will cost you the sales tax savings. Good for B&H/the bank, bad for you.

LR Classic CC reads CR3.
I used LR Classic and what happened to me was that LR automatically converted the CR3 to a DNG file.

ADobe has a free DNG converter
