The engineering aspects of this car are interesting. YouTube has several period films on this car's development. As a kid, I remember seeing the occasional old Airflow on the road. I thought that they were ugly. Today, I have rethought that reaction, and better appreciate what Chrysler was up to. A bold car, a little too soon.

My grandfather worked on part of the design of this car.

Very good set, Willard, the car sure was ugly, IMO.

No, the car is beautiful (eyes of the beholder, and all that)! There are some ugly cars, but this ain’t one of them!

And, yes, a very good set of images, Willard!

What an unusual car that one was. I like it and the restoration appears to be well done. I have never seen this model before and it must have been something in it's day.

Very nice car. It has a lot more style that modern aerodynamic cars.

I wonder "if" Dr. Porsche found any inspiration from the design of the front end of the Airflow when he built the "Peoples Car" for his client A. Hitler back in the 30's -- As an owner of a 1966 VW bug I do see similarities

Both Porche and Chrysler had wind tunnels

Look up the history of the Tatra. Much will be revealed that will dovetail Porsche and others.
