Great picture, wonderful detail! I usually sigh as I take the picture when a cable or fence is an unavoidable intrusion in the picture (can't always choose with wildlife), but in this case, the cable seems to add to the dynamic of the picture.

Nice catch! I know that Kites eat dragonfly's but I've never seen one do it until now.

Several years ago a pair of Mississippi kites were hanging around this area, and they would sit in a sweet gum tree that had some bare bunches almost in my backyard. I saw them catch a lot of cicadas in midair, land on the tree and have a snack. I was surprised one day when I saw one eating a sparrow that it had caught. I wished I had a better zoom lens because I would have gotten some good shots of that.
