Looking to buy B700. What is international version? Is this camera discontinued? Is there a new replacement? Currently have P900 but looking for lighter Coolpix bridge camera..
Thanks..

I have a P7000. Two years back bought a P900. Still have and use the P7000. The replacement was the P7800, which I looked at initially, however, the P900 came out about then, and I purchased it. Not sure if there is a newer upgrade to the P7800.

International version is the gray market version. No warranty coverage in the U.S.
Nikon will not even repair it at your cost.
Be safe, buy American version. That way your warranty will be honored here.
will

"International" version simply means it is grey market and you will have no USA Warranty.
The Nikon B700 has been discontinued according to B&H Photo although you may still be able to purchase one from Nikon’s website. The P900, announced in March 2015, was the replacement. The P900 was reviewed by DPReview in May 2017.
you can get a new B700 from several major suppliers including Nikon. I just bought a new Canon SX70 for the same reason. I narrowed my choice to the B700 and SX70. The Nikon has been out since 2014(I think), the Canon since last year. Both are light and shoot RAW. I also considered Sony and Panasonic.
I bought one refurbished for my wife. She loves it and so do I. Cameta has some for $319.
Hello, Bobin. There does not seem to be a replacement (upgrade) for the B700. They also seem to be readily available from a lot of camera stores. Amazon marks their International Versions quite clearly, so you know if you are buying Grey Market. I have both the B700 and the P900 also.
My B700 was purchased from Amazon and it was Grey Market and as such was clearly marked "International Version." I saved nearly 30% buying Grey on a special sale. Unlike many other posters on this site I do not worry about a lack of Mfg Warranty as less than 2% of cameras are returned during their first year for Mfg Warranty Work. But, everyone needs to purchase within their own comfort zone.
Buy it. You will love it!

Beyond the warranty issue, there is also no
reason to worry that Nikon won't repair it out
of warranty ... even on your dime. One does
NOT repair a camera that cost $300 new and
is worth $125 [or less] pre-owned, even if it
happens to be a USA item that Nikon
would repair. The repair is always too expensive vs
the value of such a camera.
OTOH, a grey market D850 is way too risky !
It's not unrepairable ... you simply pay the
freight to and from its market of origin :-(
And it helps a lot if you speak that language
and are facile with international payments.
