I want to pick the minds of UHH experts! I am looking for suggestions and advice on what you may utilize as a "rolling cart" to transport gear when at a location with good enough surfaces to do that. I have looked at tool caddies, grocery carts, and rolling beach coolers, all of which may be an option, but there must be some great ideas from the photographers posting here. Thanks for the help!

Are you a pro? just how much gear are you planning on taking with you when you go out to shoot? You can take whatever pleases you, of course, but I try to take only what I plan on using. At most, I take one camera body, two, or three lenses, a couple of filters and depending on my destination a monopod. If can get get away with taking less, I do.

For environmental shoots, I use this folding wagon to roll my gear.

https://www.costco.com/Mac-Sports-Folding-Utility-Wagon-.product.100371844.html

This carries a camera bag, a folding change room, a flashpoint 600 Pro, 2 stands, a folding stool, two reflectors, 3 modifiers, laptop and auxiliary battery pack easily.

Best $50.00 I spent related to usage with camera gear.

Here's a short video.

It depends on the type of shoot I am going to and location/terrain. I have gear packed in Plano weatherseal cases for monolighting, tabletop products or food, etc. Normally, I will load what cases I need on an older Porter Case that converts to a cart along with tripods and bagged lightstands. I pack what cameras, lenses and accessories in the Porter case. This is the newer version of mine.

I also have an old service cart with powerstrip I used for tethered shooting interior architectural, similar to this:

I still find it useful for a variety of things, including loading it up with bags of gear as the wheels are big enough for exteriors and inside don't mar floors. Now with a CamRanger, I don't shoot tethered to a laptop much anymore, but the set up is still viable.

That's not to say I, like most photographers , don't have a a few other bag options. Some rollers and some shoulder or back carried for whatever fits your needs. I also have some Pelican cases, one with speedlights and wireless equipment and modifiers.

I believe the Radio Flyer Classic Red is still available, as are variations like the EZ Fold Wagon.

No pro here! Just a guy wanting to transport a camera, tripod, and a few lenses, including a 200-500 Nikkor without lugging it. I realize this won't be usable in many places, but would be nice where it could be utilized.

I knew a guy who wanted to be ready to shoot when we would walk a few miles of ocean beach. He used a Canon w/600 mounted on a tripod in something like one of these. He had larger pneumatic tires installed.

I bought a folding wagon with soft sides, it was just under 50.00 and works great. Holds everything you will need and folds up to fit in your trunk.

I also have the $50 soft sided fold-up wagon from Costco. It is supposed to be a beach wagon but it is terrible on sand. I was going to sell it until I used it on a photo shoot. It’s PERFECT for carrying multiple camera bodies, stands, softboxes, sunshades, props, etc.

I use that same wagon, I got my at Sam's Club, but it doesn't matter where you find one they are cheap and work great, I've been using them now for over 5 years. In fact I have 2 at this time one with the regular wheels and one with fat wheels for softer surfaces like sand.

Here is the staple for Florida wildlife photographers who carry way more equipment than they need. BUT IT WORKS.

I use a roll-aboard suitcase. You can add dividers or foam protectors

I use a $30 runner baby buggy. I load I my Nikon 600mmF:4 G VR/D810 and my 200-500 with a D800, a small seat, a small cooler and I'm set. I can spend all day out there and it hasn't cost a dime plus my back feels wonderful at the end of the day.
