I have decided on a Canon printer to replace a HP. This new printer will mostly be used for photos up to probably 11x14. I do want the photos to be high quality. Any suggestions on a printer model? Thanks. I also want it to work from a cord, not wireless. Possible?

You can usually find a pretty good deal on a Canon Pro-100. Excellent quality. Up to 13x19 prints.

Our Canon Pro frustrates me in that it seems like it takes forever to make up it's mind about the simplest stuff. Turn it on and it's a minute or two before it will print, what in the world is it doing, and how can it possibly take so darn long? That and it uses up ink. But the printed images are perfect, there is that, that's why we have it.

PIXMA Pro 100. Shop the major online retailers for deals. It can be had for almost nothing if you find the right sale. Sometimes Canon bundles it with a camera, and the buyer doesn't want the printer, so they unload it on eBay or Craigslist after clipping the rebate UPC from the box.

This printer consistently gets high marks from users on UHH. It will print up to 13x19", so 12x18 and 11x14 are well within its capabilities.

It is probably running an internal head cleaning routine.

The longer between prints, the longer the cleaning cycle. If you print even a single picture every other day, startup is much quicker

I'm going to suggest the Canon Pro-100. Purchased that a number of years ago and it still prints excellent quality pictures. I use it strictly for photos. It will print up to 13" x 19"

I love my Pro-100. Canon has a $250 rebate good through June 30 on the Pro-100. The rebate form has two different rebate amounts. A $200 rebate for a standalone purchase or $250 if a box of 13x19 semi-gloss or luster photo paper is bundled with the printer. Net cost after rebate is $149.99 if purchased from B&H or Adorama. Somtimes the sale price is even less so do your shopping.

I have a Canon Pro-100. Very faithful print colors. I have mine hooked up wirelessly because I don't have room, but you can also hook up wired. And nicely discounted, too.

Greetings everyone...............
.
I also have the Canon Pixma Pro 100... Little known fact is that it will print larger than 13 x 19... Here is how you can print 26 inch long Panoramas on the Canon Pixma PRO-100

i'll pile on, Canon Pro 100. like any printer, make sure you correctly chose the proper printer profile and paper being used otherwise you will get a photo that does not match what is on your screen.

Right, and with generous rebates, it can be one of the cheapest printers out there. I paid $130 for mine.

Here's one for $150.
