Need some feedback on this. D7500 had 20 Megapixels, the D7200 has 24. I could care less for video.
Plus there is no vertical extra battery grip for the D7500.
Comments? Should i get the D7200 or the D7500.
My D7100 battery grip will fit the D7200.
Or should i just save $$$ & keep my D7100??
If you are not shooting action shots for the most part (e.g., BIF or sports), stick with the 7100. As for 7200 vs 7100, there's not much difference except mainly for buffer size and ISO range, but those should be minor issues for non-action photography.
If you are shooting action the D500 is the one to get, unless budget is an issue, then the 7500 will suffice., but in either case keep the 7100 as a 2nd/backup body. The D7500 has some compromises in comparison to the D500, but that's what you would expect for a large price differential. D7500 vs d7200 - the 7500 has lots of plusses over the 7200, but it's a poor man's D500 IMHO.
That's the upshot of D7100 vs D7200 vs D7500 vs D500...it all comes down to budget and application. The D500 is the one to lust after if you like superb AF performance, and for other reasons of course.

I agree. The D7200 is pretty much a D7100 with a bigger buffer. The D7500 is state of the art 7000 series with the Expeed 5 Processor. Keep the 7100 as a backup and get the 7500 if you feel it will enhance your photographic journey.

Suggestion, rent the 7200 and 7500 for a day shoot some images and get a feel for the cameras then make a decision. Less expensive than shooting from the hip and buy something you may not like or may not work for you!!!!!! Good luck

Advantages of each camera is in the Specs, and clarified in reviews.
I compared all three and bought a second D7100 at a nice price.
None of the improvements were meaningful to me, and the 7500 was a step backwards.
Having a second body I am totally familiar with has been very useful, and encouraged me to take pictures where I might not take an only camera (love the rain).

No hand grip, one card slot, less mega pixels, Blah Blah Blah , the D7500 flat out rocks. You won't be disappointed

Will the D500 accept Sigma lenses?
Will the D500 focus lenses without a motor?

Yes to both....F mount for Sigma lens...older Nikon AF lenses with the "screw drive" will work fine.

AHHHHH the research and contemplation bug has shown its ugly head in the form of GAS!!!! D500 now being considered!!!
D7500 is a great camera, if I could have afforded (easy to justify, harder to pull the trigger) spending those extra dollars, I'd have a D500... IT IS A BEAST!!
I went from a D7200 to a D500. The D500 is heaps better in every way. I would skip the D7500 and go for a D500 with the D7100 as back up.
