The first five shots are of a large blooming tree at Shoshone Falls, Idaho. I would love to know what this tree is. The blossoms look a lot like Pear but I think the tree is too big to be a fruit tree.

The last four shots were taken where we were staying in Star, Idaho. The backyard garden is next door, also the home of the pink Dogwood in my previous post. Cousin Janet has several of these lilac bushes in her yard. She also grows wonderful strawberries!

Beautiful set Carol. I believe that blossom is the Crataegus monogyna Jacq. "Oneseed hawthorn. It does look a lot like the Callery pear also.

Thank you, Jan. I just Googled pictures of the Hawthorn. The flowers look right but the leaves don't. I'm not sure. It is so hard to identify tree blossoms when they aren't native to your area.

Thank you, Ken! The tree may be destined to remain anonymous.

Thank you. This tree was so full of blossoms there wasn't much room left for birds!
