I don't know why I keep trying this one, it never comes out well.

This is 139 lights of 5 mins each. Shot on Astro-Tech 10" with QHY12 OSC. Most of this was shot +-25% of the full moon. I guess I could blame it on the moon.

Still, a nice picture. Wow, lots of effort. Thanks for sharing!

I may be wrong, but it looks to my eyes the focus is slightly off. I'm thinking if it was better focused, more detail would show. I've had trouble with this one also.

Thanks for the thoughts, I am going to reprocess it again. After stacking and bringing into PS, my image was bright and stars/core blown out. This is prior to any post processing or stretching. I’ve never had that before. So I’m wondering if something went wrong during my pre-processing/stacking.

Keep in mind I said to my eyes, which aren't working as good as they used to. You managed to get a very good image, and I hope to do as well in the future.

Brian , nice job on Bodes Galaxy . I'm still beating my head against the wall , I thought the hard part was stacking the 10, 20, 30,45 and 60s subs . Processing this galaxy the way it's supposed to be is becoming a real bugger .

You may have same problem I have. Too much light pollution and gradients to remove.

I am going to try this one again, I got some more exposure time on it.

I feel the pain Brian , now nothing but, downpours all Mother's Day weekend . My problem is , I get the arms extended then when adding the Blue channel , it starts diminishing the arms , URGGG ! Finding the proper balance is a very fine line.
