Canon's knowledge base says to turn the camera off and then back on or remove and replace the battery. You state that you have done both of those things with no success. Your next step, unfortunately, is to contact Canon customer service. It appears you may have to send it in for repairs.
A possibility: Are you using a Canon lens? If you are using a non-Canon lens remove it and try a Canon lens. If you have no Canon lens just remove what you have and try turning on the camera. It should turn on with no lens if that is where the problem lies. Even if you have a Canon lens try removing it and turning it on. The knowledge base suggested it could be a lens issue. Look at your contacts and make sure nothing is damaged. Unlikely, because if it is a contact issue you should get a code 01.

Even new cameras occasionally have problems. At least yours is under warranty if you bought it new. Canon is known for it's good customer service. If they can't solve your problem over the phone then I am sure their repair service will take good care of you.
Yes I brought it New though Canon they was great on fixing my T6i camera and it is was under Warranty. Thank you sir for your help
Good luck with the camera.
Did anyone take lenses on and off with the camera turned on. That will sometimes mess up the contacts.
I am lucky the only major problem I have had was a tripod getting knocked over. Everything still worked but the mode dial was bent out of true and the tripod mount on the base was cracked. (Plus it was 6 months out of warranty. - but they gave me a discount) I live only a 25 minute drive from one of Canon's major service centers here in So California.
So glad things work out for you no one touch my camera but me I guess I can use my T6i while I wait for
my 6DMarkII to get fix. and I think I will Quite taking pictures for every one and give them the picture I end up over thousand pictures a game. do you think taking that many pictures would hurt the camera? I just love to take pictures to give to the kids they really like them. thanks for your help DelRae

"I end up over thousand pictures a game".
No, I do not think that is too many pictures for the camera.
You may try, however, taking video then posting them privately on Vimeo. It is a lot easier on you, the kids get to see themselves play, you actually get to see the games, and it is something different.
Of course, only do this after to talk with Canon about your current situation.
Good Luck.

Error 20 is indicative of a mechanical malfunction that has caused a disturbance or lockup that could likely be caused by the mirror, shutter, or aperture assemblies. I would send it in to Canon. They have a vey good repair service.

Suggest that you check to be sure that the focusing screen has not accidentally become dislodged and is preventing the mirror from operating properly. It happened on my 6D I. It is a user-replaceable part and you can re-install it yourself. To check, remove the lens and look into the camera body. You will see the mirror. The focusing screen is mounted firmly and flat against the bottom of the prism and should not be "hanging" downwards towards the mirror. If it is, you can push it back into place with your finger and it should lock back into place.

I took 4300 images at an event last week... roughly split between two cameras I was using. That's only a moderate day for me. Occasionally, at some larger events, I've shot as much as double that in a day.
Eventually a camera will simply wear out from heavy usage. But unless you've taken 1000 images per game at 100 or 200 games, accumulatively taken 100,000, 200,000 or more images with the camera, it's unlikely to be a wear and tear problem.

The focusing screen in the 6D Mark II
is not user replaceable and it cannot "become dislodged". (As you noted, the original 6D's screen was user interchangeable.... In fact it used the same "EG" screens as 5D Mark II.)
The 6D Mark II uses a transmissive LCD focus screen and in most cases those are permanently installed and not user interchangeable (The only one I know of that's interchangeable is in 7D Mark II).

I had the same error on a 7D II. It turned out to be a dirty contact on my Canon 24-105L lens. Cleaned the contacts and it worked until I sold it a year later.
