Sandhill cranes: Morning fly-out from roost on the Rio Grande at Bosque del Apache NWFR
The cranes were wintering at BdA. They roost at night standing in the shallows of the river (for protection from coyotes) and fly out to their feeding areas shortly after sunrise.
For those with unimpaired binocular depth perception and able to view 3D image pairs by parallel gaze (top pair) or crossed gaze (bottom pair) the 3D quad image set is posted to provide an additional dimension on the scene.
