pretty impressed. 50x optical zoom/100x digital - 20.4 mp's Thinking about it instead of lugging my 600mm on a trip we're about to take. Still take the Nikon as primary...

Great choice in bridge camera I own an earlier model of Sony HX200 V 30 X zoom, been tempted to up grade to the 400. Nice shots.

Good shots. I got my HX400v after my Canon SX50 died. I have enjoyed my 400. I mostly used it for travel rather than my 40lbs of FF gear.

IKE The sony RX10 111l(bridge camera) is top rated by consumer reports. May want to look into it. Its alittle pricey though. Good luck!!

I took my full complement of camera gear with me on a recent lighthouse tour along the Oregon Coast. 2 DSLR bodies and a slew of lenses with coverage from 11-400 mm. I also took my newly acquired (used) Sony HX 80 (18 mp 24-720 mm non interchangeable optical zoom) to slip into my shirt pocket. Upon return when I could view the photos on my desktop computer, and sorting through the 800 or so shots, I found that a large majority of the 62 best that I chose for a slide show came out of the Sony HX 80 pocketable bridge camera. I'm impressed by the capabilities of the little camera for landscapes and wildlife.
