I have a Google Pixel, the original one. I bought the contract out after a death in the family. It took me some time getting used to it but I have begun to master it. Google is as I understand it has a terrific camera. I had to take it to the T Mobile store to have sim cards changed out. The young man who helped me asked me if I wanted to sell him the phone because of the great camera. He said his wife loved Google but he couldn't afford to purchase one. In any case I don't take many photos with it but the ones I have are really great. I still love my Nikon D600. I hope this little bit of information helps you. Have a great day.

Pretty subjective topic - on average the newer high end phones will contain the better camera/lens combination and have the capability of producing higher quality images.

I have the LG 40v thin Q.
I would buy it again, 5 camera. Wide angle, normal and telephoto. Two selfies I guess, panoramic etc. Great pics and plenty of storage. Photo good as many Nikons I have.

I have the Moto G6 and it is the best cell phone I have ever had. Takes the best pictures of any phone even at night without flash.

Wife's Samsung Note 8 takes excellent photo's, my old Samsung J7, not so much. Large hands, slippery little phone, never good...

I have an iPhone 7Plus and am very happy with it. Sometimes it is better than my DSLR, particularly when taking indoor photos or videos. It is always with me and without it, I would have missed some outstanding photos. One has to learn how to use their cell phone. Many people do not hold the phone still or touch focus and set lighting. Hence, they do not get good quality sharp photos.

I just got a Samsung S10e...nice 16mp cam with dual wide/normal lenses...but my cell phone photography is limited to quick snaps, or for documentation ... no match for the versatility or quality of a DSLR or mirrorless ILC...but as Luca Brasi said before he got strangled to death and slept with the fishes..."Not bad..."

Huawei ... hands down ... top of the heap.
The latest flagship Huawei phones are the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. The P30 Pro may be the best Huawei phone ever made, and a case could be made that the P30 Pro might have the best camera hardware on any smartphone you can buy. The sensors, co-developed with Leica, start with four cameras in the back. The main sensor is 40MP, which supports the new SuperSpectrum RYB (Red-Yellow-Blue) filter, which allows for better detail in images, including in low light conditions.

The phone also has a 20MP rear sensor and a third 8MP periscope lens which supports 5x optical zoom. Finally, the P30 Pro has a fourth Time-of-Flight (TOF) sensor for gathering depth information so you can take better bokeh-style portrait shots. Huawei’s AI software will also help to create better images as well. The standard P30 has three rear cameras (40MP, 16MP, and 8MP with 3x optical zoom)

I have and continue to use them for $thousands$ of purchases both cameras and glass, so I am concerned about you comment. Please share what you see as their bias. Maybe I shouldn't use them anymore.
