Cannot wear contacts, let alone ones that reshape the cornea. My eyes are WAY to sensitive. Have already had cataract surgery in both eyes. Do fine with diopter adjustment.

My optometrist told me as I was referred for cataract surgery, that that procedure is now often used as an alternative to Lasic. It will avoid most of the problems with point source light.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes and for the first time in my life I can see 20-20 distance. Still need reading glasses, but that's a part of aging that can only be completely corrected with glasses.

Do you have problems with your vision and photography or shooting with glasses? I've just seen a story on the news about corneal re-shaping contact lenses which are worn at night that allow you to see 20/20 during the day. It costs about $1000/yr. If you'd be interested, google corneal re-shaping contact lenses.

No thank you, I have tried contact lenses on different occasions, never again! I stick with my glasses!

My ex had Lasik done. Now she doesn't have to wear her glasses but she can't see at night at all. Bad tradeoff but they aren't my eyes. I don't like my vision degrading with age but I can still buy generic bifocals and get by. I hate using them but I'm not letting anyone mess with my eyes. You do as you wish but I'd recommend you do a lot more research than just asking for the opinion of others.

Not seeing at night was the drawback with getting Lasik surgery. It was to only affect one percent of those that got it done. It looks like your ex was that one percent.

I wouldn't mind having my "corners" reshaped...don't know about "corneas".
