This old timer is only a mile from my house. I love old barns.....so many hopes, so many dreams, so many tales to be told.

Wonderful image! B&h good choice.
Such great character in that enduring structure...as if conscious of the generations that so seriously depended on its service!

Let's buy it and restore it as a PhotoGallery and Studio.

Oh PixelStan.....How I would love to do just that. All oak beams, stands alone on the edge of game lands, a quarter mile from a fishing lake. And if that didn't work out two miles away there's an old one room school house that would do just as well as a Gallery and that one is located next door to the largest outlet mall between Pittsburgh and Erie. Ah well.....one can dream.

Very nice image. If the barn could talk! B&W does it justice.

Great. I photograph all the barns for miles around my place. We are losing them fast. We keep them on file in our historical society. The road just a few miles between 309 and the PA turnpike there were seven barns there was only two left. That is till this week. They just took another one down to enlarge an intersection. So I urge you all to photograph all the old buildings in your town.

Hal81..... I'm glad you're making the effort to maintain a pictorial history of your community. Soon it will be all we have. Thanks for caring.

Would love to have worked there in its prime. Wonder what year it was built.

About an hour south of Fort Worth there is a three-story barn standing erect that is more than 100 years
old. It was built by a group of German immigrants with no nails. It has been 25 years since I have been
inside it. Need to run over there and photograph it and the native stone buildings that were built at the
same time and surround it.
