I'm getting a lens tomorrow from Hong Kong via DHL, and they require a signature. Fortunately, I can print and sign a form, asking them to leave it inside a side door. I have to sign for a UPS delivery today, but I'll be home all day. Tomorrow, I'll be coming and going. Four-day delivery from Hong Kong is pretty good, and shipping was free.

Glad for you. I have had some pretty poor experiences with shipments from Hong Kong - as long as six weeks.

So Jerry, when do you think you'll be away from home tomorrow? :-)

Sooooooo What did you buy Jerry?
Jerry, I’d be careful about broadcasting your daily comings and goings on a public forum like this. There are some pretty clever ne’er do wells out there. Just my paranoia talking . . . 🤔🤭🙁🤫

A 27mm pancake lens for my Fuji X-T30.

I'm bringing half a dozen of my attack dogs to a competition. I'm leaving a dozen others here. Stop by any time you want.

I realize that, but "coming and going" isn't very specific. Most people leave for work early and come home late. I 'm here 99% of the time.
I've had DHL holding onto New Jersey-to-New York shipments for a week before transferring them to USPS. Good luck.

Sounds nice, I have a Fuji camera but no Fuji lenses.... Maybe someday I will buy a Canon EF adapter, they are available. Fuji lenses are highly regarded.

Hi Jerry, what lens did you get?

Haha! This made me think about the 1970s: I opened my first studio, and one winter we noticed footprints around our windows. We were on Main Street: tons of traffic 24/7 and well lit. When we mentioned that to one of our customers, he said, "Let me take care of that."
He set up a couple of sensors that would trigger a LOUD recording of BIG mean dogs snarling and barking. Pretty high tech for 1978, but the cost was pretty low, and we traded photographs for it. Funny, we never noticed any more footprints in the snow, and NEVER had a break in!
All of my subsequent studio locations had security systems. From 1987 to 1997 I leased studio space that held 3 other businesses. The owner of the building also owned the camera store right next to my studio. The son of the owner, who ran the color lab, scoffed. "We've been here over 10 years, never had a problem. You're wasting your money!"
Over the 10 years I was there, they had 4 break-ins. I had far more in equipment than the camera store held (several RZ-67, Hasselblad, Canons, all the lenses and film backs, lighting, backgrounds, etc.). I never had a break in. I never considered the alarm system a "waste of money."

I just got a Viltrox EF-Fx1 with auto focus capability.
Works really well with my X-T 2.
They run about $130 on Amazon.

Couldn't you have gotten the same pancake lens at Ihop for much less and immediately as well?
Apparently I am missing something here. Good luck with the new lens Jerry.
