I think they’re dreaming; don’t offer anything over $350,000.

All these variations work well with the subject matter. The Topaz Glow 2 - Luminosity blend looks like it would help with implementing an Orton effect - a look I’ve been struggling to get right.

Lovely. I wonder, what is your goal when using the effects?

Bob--

I don't look for 'the perfect image'. I much prefer to deal with surreal and/or abstractions. I like for viewers to wonder, "What is that?", and then go on to make their own discoveries or not.

Consider what an apparently dismal image your Drink Shaker was (or so I thought at first glance)...then turned out to be a big hit--different visions bring different outcomes. We throw the images out there, we wait to see what someone else discovers.

Perfect pics leave no room for much interpretation.

Bob-- br br I don't look for 'the perfect image'.... (show quote)

Got it. My question was too vague. I was wondering if you were looking for a particular effect, say "prism," or lovely color, or color and shape contrasting, or Picasso-like, showing the realities of the world as fragmented. I think you are saying you like attractive abstractions that invite the viewer in, to make their own interpretations.

I see...'prism', etc. are not on my mind is I look for what to photograph. Only later do I decide what I might do with it. I do intend to try Picasso somehow, someday. His Guernica is my favorite artwork of any type.
