Beautifully done. It appears that each of your photographs is better than the previous one.

Thanks for your compliment, I'm happy that they are not going into the other direction!

Stunning shot. I think yesterday someone was commenting on another photo where the bird didn't appear to be green. In yours, it definitely is.

When the sunlight hits the big section of green on it's back just right you would think it would glow in the dark with how bright of green it becomes.

Practice and enjoy. If you like them and they give you pleasure both with the experience and the end reslut, then you have succeeded. If others like them, then that is frosting on the cake. If you earn a living at photography, then other criteria have to be considered. Keep up the good work.

When in sunny southern California, look me up and perhaps we can go shooting together. I can always learn and practice some more.

I have never been farther West than Texas but if I did make it, I would be honored to go out shooting with you. Every time I get to shoot with another photographer I always learn something.

I retired 16 years ago and photography is my hobby. I enjoy shooting and also enjoy sharing what I have learned over the last 49 years of taking pictures. I have a class that I am giving on the 30th of this month and so far I have 64 people interested in coming. Not all will show but I should have a pretty good turn out. This is my sixth class and I always have a very good amount of people attend. I have many of my pictures in several locations along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Great capture, it is wonderful how you were able to show the green on that bird, many images I have seen have not captured that color.
