Before I retired just after Christmas, I worked forever at a FAA Certified Repair Station that performed repairs and overhauls of Air Transport Avionics and Cockpit Windows. This picture is a newly overhauled B777 #2 Window Assembly. This is the Pilot's or left hand unit. There is an exact mirror image unit for the Co-pilot.
This shot was used on the company website. The background is a gridboard used to check distortion in the transparency. (Which is covered with brown contact paper)

Please do. The autoclave was a ‘personal’ 3 shot Photomatix HDR ‘snapshot’. We are the third owner since new in ‘83 so it’s already pretty grungy. The hdr brought out some pencil writing on the pipe to the left of the yellow handle that you can barely see naked eye. Tried for a steampunk look but no copper or wood...
The window which is on the company website with several others I took around the shop was lit with a single led panel and a silver umbrella reflector. It’s all that was available. Normally two are used to illuminate the grid board behind the window in that dark curtained off area. A N5300 that no one really has a clue how to operate properly is used to capture the image through the transparency of the grid board which will show distortion. These pics, along with FLIR images of the panel under power (they are heated for anti fog/ice) before and after repair are part of the documentation kept for ten years. Enough rambling...

Yours are good images or corporate records, instruction manuals, technical articles and comapny annual reports etc.
Someties images like those are used for annual report covers, corporate brochures and proposals in a more artistic interpretation. So I did some post processing on the kinda gungy plumbing and created the attached image. Of course it is technically incorrect and distorted but it draws the eye.
On the window- I thought the grid was important as per the description you included so I brought out more detail in the texture. I am guessing that the contact paper is protection for the glass so it is not damaged during installation. I am guessing it woud tell a good story if the paper was removed an the grid could be seen through the glass. I added in a border that picks up on the green detail in the window frame. The square frame emphasizes the streamlined design of the window.
My commercial and industrial clients have me photograh all kinds of interesting stuff that they want glamorized for effect- sewer pipes, garbage trucks, and lots of rusty and dirty installations that only an engineer can love. It makes my work fun- sometimes.

I would have preferred to shoot the window without the paper and the grid board illuminated and additional lighting to illuminate the assembly and some post processing but it was like "Hey, do you have your camera with you?" Yeah, it's in my trunk. "Great. We need about a dozen or so window and shop shots for the new website. These iPhone pics aren't cutting it." When do you need them? "This afternoon..." Oh, well, ours is not to reason why...

The effect is from an Android app called Prisma. It's free on your phone or tablet.
