Thanks to all who replied to my post - you were all very helpful. It's interesting to note that when somebody added a link to their reply to be helpful, Admin moved the post to Links and Resources. Is Admin an auto technical app or is Admin a real person? This kind of thing makes little sense to me.

The link is in your opening. That'll do it every time (it just too awhile, that's why you thought was a later entry)

So what is the trick to naming a post for general discussion? I had intended my post to be up for discussion. Simple really.

DebAnn, with reference to moving posts, I'm batting 1000. I try to assess which group the post would be best. So far, in the years I've been posting here, my posts with links have been moved. If I've posted in Links, moved to Discussion. If posted to Discussion, moved to Links. I sort of give up figuring out the whys and wherefores.

Just leave links out of the opening post. It looks like you had some excellent response, at least.

That is what I do.
My second post will be something like "Oops, I forgot the link. Here it is.....".

I believe the point is to not send people immediately off the site to a discussion elsewhere, but as seen in Deb's case, "someone" isn't taking enough time to make the proper assessment
