You mean - she's no intention of doing any marathons, in the future? …

How big's the medal, DS?

No. I mean this is her completion of the majors. Tokyo, Berlin, Chicago, New York, London, Boston. Those are the six major marathons. She will run Berlin and Chicago again this year. At this point she has completed 118 marathons including running 52 in under 52 weeks.

I use a lowpro sling all the time

My favorite bag to use for any camera with a 300-400mm lens attached is the Tenba Mixx Tall series - which comes in with red accents, blue accents, or gold accents. It's great for that use, but it doesn't provide any room for any additional lenses. The only bag I have which allows for carrying just ONE extra lens, rather than a whole mess of them (thereby making the bag that much heavier, if you use all the dividers) is the Case Logic convertible series - it can be used as a sling bag, or as a shoulder bag, or as a back-pack. The extra lens compartment goes across the top, and the camera w/ lens attached - fits in sideways - along the bottom. That compartment is quite deep, and does allow for up to a 300mm lens, plus camera. Not that expensive - around $60 … you should be able to find one at any Staples store.

Any recommendations on a camera bag (either a shoulder bag or sling bag) because I like to carry it with me as I take photos during college baseball games. I would like to be able to lay a Nikon d7500 in the bag with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens attached, so it is ready to use at a moment's notice without having to attach lenses and worry about any abstract hitting while sitting in readiness. I would also like to have space for an additional 300mm 3.5 lens and accessories such as SD cards and extra batteries. My lowpro slingbag is not long enough to lay the lens in it or deep enough for it to sit on the camera back in the bag. Although I say I want it big enough to hold this lens and body, I don't want anything enormous because I will be carrying it around all day in the hot sun chasing the shots. Any recommendations any of you may have on bags that have worked for you would be appreciated. Thank you:)

Go to Ona.com and get a high quality leather bag for about $400.

I just bought this a couple of weeks ago: https://earthlycitizens.com/products/deluxe-vintage-photographers-backpack. I love it.

I carry my D7500 with an attached Tamron 18-400. Also two Nikon prime lenses, 35mm & 50mm connected together with this: https://lensflipper.com/collections/the-lens-flipper/products/nikon-mount, and my backup camera (Panasonic DMC-ZS 60) in its case.

Also a pocket on the front for storing spare SD cards, batteries, etc. A small pocket on one side for my keys, wallet, etc. and below a mesh net for a water bottle.

On the top there is a drawstring opening and room for more storage. On the bottom there are straps for attaching a tripod.

Access to the camera/lenses is either from the front for everything, or from the side just the camera & lens itself.

They are selling for ~$109.95 on the site above. Only negative is it took a couple of weeks to get it.

Check it out.

I use the Nikon Large Pro camera bag, $75 at B&H. Holds 2 DSLR bodies, 5 lenses, flash with side and front pockets for everything else. Configurable compartments. Even a mini iPad fits.

I bought a Tenba DNA Messenger bag and love it. Has a top zipper. I keep my Canon 7D Mark II with my EF 100MM macro lens attached in it. Along with two other zoom lenses and a 50 mm prime and accessories. Watch the video . . . .

Keep in mind, from personal exerience using Think Tank bags, as single zipper opening in the top can make it a bit harder to get gear in and out of.

Richard - I have about three dozen camera bags, now - mostly one-camera ones, but about a dozen kit bags, too … and the majority of them have zips. The only ones which don't - are that Tenba Messenger, and the three Tenba MIXX kit bags I have - which all just have a fold-over top, and you're right, it's much easier to get things in and out, when you don't have a zipper to deal with … but, the problem is - the critters around - can get IN … and I just won't have my expensive gear sitting around in bags, which allow easy entry … it's just not ON - for ME, anyway. And, for that reason - I no longer keep any gear in those MIXX kit bags - which is a shame, really - as they're all two-tier designs - which allow for 5 lenses to be kept on the lower tier - one in each corner, and one laying down across the center, and two rigs (cameras with lenses attached - on the top layer - one facing to the front, and one facing to the back) - so they're quite handy!
