Hi Everyone: What is the closest replacement to PICASA. Please do not include PS Elements. I use Picasa to store and edit. Thanks Bob

What part or parts of PICASA do you want to keep?

Are you using Picasa primarily to archive photos? To process them? Both? The answer to the question probably hinges upon your main use of the program.

You will get lots of opinions. I use PS Express on my iPad. It is also available for Windows 8 & up thru the Microsoft Store. It includes PS Fix which includes more features and is an add on when you download PS Express. I found it intuitive and easy to find all the features. The one thing I had to “poke” around and find was the one shot fix which works very well and then you can continue from there. I also use Photo Editor + (4.99) at the App Store. Works nicely and has an easy text box where you can add, position, change type stile, and size / color.

I just uploaded Picasa to my laptop. But Faststone is a good one too.

Hi Bob, can I ask why you want a replacement?? Picasa continues to work fine. And, I recently downloaded it to a new laptop. While, true, they are no longer updating it, it continues to work just fine for what you have previously been using it for.

I used to be a fan of Picasa many years ago and now use PSE exclusively. However, have played around a bit with Google Photos and find it to be every bit as good as Picasa ever was and just as easy to use.

I'm w/you. Why do you want to replace it? I use it in conjunction w/other programs. Have always used it to insert my name & copyright on my photos. Also, I like the "filtered B&W" feature for nice tonality. Have just recently installed the Nik collection so w/have to see how that compares. IMO, keep it!
