I'm looking for an older 35mm slr film camera in excellent condition - refurbished or used. E.g., in the style of Canon AE-1 program, etc.

I have searched online and found several on ebay and a couple of other places, but none on B&H or Adorama. None have turned up locally yet. Does anyone have one? I guess I can always get one on Ebay and return it if not satisfied.
As always thanks for your time.

I have a Rollie SL35E with Rollie f1.4 55mm and Tamron 28mm and 70-210mm for it. If you are interested, just PM me.

Take your time. Canon AE-1 & AE-1 Program are great cameras. The only drew back is both cameras need battery to work. If you don't want to deal with batteries. Check out German cameras made in the 1950s. Check out local auctions and yard sales. Good weather is coming so the game is a foot.

I have a Nikon D75 that I bought refurbished. I was just getting started into digital, and this camera was a replacement for another Nikon film camera. I consequently have never used it for photography.

If a Nikon would be of interest, let me know. I can take pics and offer any and all information.

Thank you,

Edd Kelly

I had a German camera that I bought in 1963, an Exakta VXIIA. You're right, no batteries.

I loved and used my A-1 all over the world. I highly recommend it over the AE-1. Sold mine a few years back when the money got tight. Still have my wife's AE 1 and a couple good FD lenses. If you're still looking, I'll ask her if she'll part with it.

I preferred the New F-1 or the F-1N over the A-1, AE-1 or the original F-1.

It’s in a different league - a pro level as opposed to a consumer level camera (I’ve owned both, and I still have the F1N). If you go that way, the F1N is a definite improvement over the original F1. If you can find one in nice condition, it’s a solid workhorse.

The A-1 has the advantage over the AE-1/AE-1P in that it allows either shutter or aperture priority in addition to manual, while the AE-1/P is shutter priority or manual only, but it’s a consumer-level camera as well.

Have AE1P for sale. Have to get back with particulars, but a fair amount of canon and other lenses, flashes, motor drive, etc. PP here and I will get back.

I have an A1, and an AE-1, cleaned, with seals replaced, tested at Christmas time, and a decent variety of lenses. I am in the process, of moving. The cameras will probably be available in 2 weeks, I will get back to you then, if you are still interested.
