Guide Book Worthy. It would be interesting to have photographs also of the Eastern Meadowlark to compare the differences. I know there is a difference in their song, but there are also some subtle differences in their appearance.

I wondered too, Rodeoman. I should have asked someone to post the Eastern in the beginning of this thread. Thanks for your nice comments.

What beautiful shots, Katy! I have not yet seen one and seeing these amazing shots makes me want to, all the more!

PS: I have a shot of ours and will see if I can find it.

Spring is when they are too involved in singing, they are hanging out alone, and they don't seem to notice the car driving up. The rest of the year, they graze in the grass in groups and fly off when you approach.

Taken on 3 different days in March.

Lovely set! I have severe Spring-fever,especially since I have my new k70 and a couple of new lenses, and cannot wait to get out with them!!

Nice set. I haven't seen that many WMs in one place since I moved away from Kansas in 1984.
