When I first started posting on UHH, all of my prints were matted. Anything I shoot that I like, I go ahead and add a digital mat to the print. Later if I want to frame, all I have to do is frame it. Also, I have recently started mounting my prints on foam board and displaying them on a shelf that I have built for that purpose. Although I am a long time woodworker, and can and have built many beautiful frames, (I have six of my custom built frames hanging in a Federal Courthouse), I like the shelves, they allow me to change out the pics at will. I believe that this special section would open up this venue for people like me who like matting and framing. (The reason I quit posting and started just cruising the site was all the crap I received from the purists, on the site, that could not wrap their minds around a digitally matted photos. In fact few of them knew the difference between matted and framed.)

A great idea! I would find the info shared very helpful. Now that I have retired I have more time to explore and experiment with matting and framing my work.
