I think so. Maybe a modern Sony one?

Great shot Stan, in spite of the growl. Some lions are never quite satisfied!

He yawned! :) The settings have me puzzled. Trying understand the high ISO and fast shutter. First off with a docile tiger why such a fast shutter? Did you preset the ISO to 2,000? Just curious.

Thanks Mark. He was not happy that 8 of us were allowed to invade his space before the place opened to the public.

Hi - super shot; was wondering about the settings though - as a novice, just trying to learn. Not saying there is any noise, but wondering whether lower ISO and slower shutter would also work this well, or is there a reason for this type of set-up? Thanks in advance.

In Wildlife I use a High ISO and shutter speed to give me the sharpness I am looking for. You can count his whiskers. He was not docile all the time.

My goal was to freeze action. With that said I need a high shutter speed. The pack of tigers were playing, charging etc. In Wildlife I use a High ISO and shutter speed to give me the sharpness I am looking for. You can count his whiskers. He was not docile all the time. Thanks for looking.

I thought when he started to growl, to get out of his space. Did not want to be his prey.
