Check graphic card requirements. Works well with 2GB but slow. 4-6GB much better. Price is on website

Holy _ _ _ _! You ask for a drink and get the Atlantic ocean! Lots of blah, blah, blah.

My take is that the average photographer who would want to use this NORMALLY wants to take an image that was sized for the web and convert it into something s/he can pull a print from. They aren't trying to start with a 50MP file and make it big enough to cover a building.

And my own personal gripe is the guy spends just a few pages short of "War and Peace" and doesn't have the temerity to give a "By all means, this is good," or "Save your money, this is junk."

Thanks for the link, though...I think.

PixelStan77’s link provides really good information and a link to a 30 day free trial so you can judge for yourself - which I personally prefer.

"By all means, this is good,".

I've been using Photoshop Preserve Details 2.0 and On1 Perfect Resize to upsize images with pretty decent results. Topaz has introduced A.I. Gigapixel, as a standalone application using artificial intelligence to resize images up to 600%. Since it has a free 30 day trial version, I downloaded it to see what it can do.

The attached image was originally 22"x15" and has been downsized for the web from a Topaz AI enlargement which was over 7' on the long side and had a file size of 1.3GB. Not sure where you could even get something that large printed, but it also worked well on images enlarged to more reasonable sizes like 24x36. The initial app was still a little hinky, but subsequent versions straitened that out.

I think it could come in handy for images from lower resolution cameras and smartphones, or where aggressive cropping limits enlargement size. In comparing the output quality to Photohop and ON1, IMHO it's a clear and decisive winner. Your mileage may vary.

Here's a link to Topaz's product description:

Hope you find this helpful.

Don't know why people are so shy about the number.

We use two products, Alien Skin Blow Up and the ever great Genuine Fractals, aka ON1 Resize, last item was auto dealership storefront using a7iii (42MP) capture which was enlarged to 11x17 ft for an airport advertisement, was fantastic!

I've used both Topaz and On1 products for years. Yesterday I was looking at some scanned slides from teh 70s to print. The size was pretty small at 923x1529 pixels at 300 ppi. I went from on1 raw 2020 to topaz studio 2 as a plugin and made some artistic changes, then accepted so it went back to on1. I wanted to print it as an 8x12. I used both on1 resize which is part of the program at no extra charge and I downloaded a trial of Gigapixel AI (which costs $99 which is $10 MORE than the cost of on1). I used both apps to create an 8x12 which is 2400x3600 pixels. Both looked great BUT I couldn’t see any difference between them even at 4x other than the on1 version was about 30% bigger at 89 MB.
