Las Vegas NV has a warm climate pretty much year round, with temperatures rarely dropping below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Just like here in the east, Atlantic Flyway, many Canada Geese have made locations below the 49th parallel their home and no longer migrate north to the beautiful country they share a name with.
I never said these particular geese have never been to Canada. I'd have no way of definitively knowing that. What I said is, there is a distinct possibility the geese have never flown as far north as Canada and possibly have spent their entire life in the USA, thus making them not Canadian Geese at all.

I agree with your follow up post. We cannot know for a certainty the nationality of most of the Canada Geese population. Certainly the migration charts seem to indicate the majority of the population moves between our two countries but at the same time the same charts indicate there is a resident population that does not migrate outside of either the USA or Canada. I guess it is fair to say only the goose/gander knows for sure.
Have a good day.
