I’d call that formation a “custard cone” 😀
Nice shot, beautiful sky in the second shot
Thanks for sharing

'Custard cone'? Sure. Why not. Though --or since-- the particular spot/outcrop doesn't have an official name, I've come to think of it as 'The Cow Pie.' Between the names you and I have separately dubbed it, it seems there's a sort of 'the same, but different' equivalency thing going on. Or something.

Very nice! I like the landscape in the second shot the best. However, the first shot is interesting since it looks a bit like frog sitting on a mound.

'preciate your comment, kc, but no, I have never made that particular ascent. Countless times I've seen ravens (or maybe one particular raven a countless number of times) perched there, and they (or he) might not have 'preciated an invasion of their (or his) personal space. And one DOES NOT want to have ravens (or worse, A Particular Raven) unhappy with you.

A frog? A FROG?!? The Sphinx that it clearly is would be most displeased at being called a mere frog! (Though it might not mind being called a Custard Frog.... I'll ask next time I'm there.)

Otherwise, thanx, Steve.

That's what I thought when I first saw it. A horned frog. But heaven forbid that I should contradict Cany. I don't think I could survive the repercussions.

Contradict away, Chief. You'll survive. Sort of.

Cairn, Karin? The same, but different. Like really different. Inflection-wise, anyhow. Or syllable count. Or symbiotically. Or not at all. Either way..... whatever works........... No gnarly treez, though, so I'm pleezed you like the cloudses.
