Actually, I’m from Atlanta. My point is that you need to go down to the Okie - or relatively near there - to see gators.

A very common view in the Atlanta, Ga. area.

Airwolf - not sure what part of Atlanta you live in but alligators are not a common site in Atlanta Ga

Interesting. I’ve spent a lot of time in Atlanta and have never seen nor heard anyone talk about gators...unless they’re cursing out Florida fans😊
Where was this taken?

I know they are not in the wild in Atlanta, having lived in that area for 80 years. They are found, however, in the extreme south of Georgia, USA.

Didn’t think so. I’ve been visiting Atlanta 3 or 4 times a year for the last 15 years or so and never heard anything about ‘gators. I’m sure my grandkids would have let me know😊

Right, I know where the Okeefenokee is, been there a number of times. In looking at the range of gators, it looks like they can be close to Columbus, not as far north as Macon, and over to the Savannah River. So they don’t seem to come up to any Fall Lines. Can be seen in South Georgia. I’ve seen them on/near the coast in SC/NC, and I swear I’ve got a memory of at least one being spotted in VERY southern Virginia when I lived outside of Williamsburg. They do cover most of Mississippi and all of Louisiana.

I do not see any need for this species to exist. Shoot them by all means but use a gun, not a camera.

Lol. To be honest, I thought the trees looked much more like Savannah / South Georgia than Atlanta...

And I live in Pennsylvania too, but I also had the luxury of growing up in Atlanta.
