I've never seen so many in one small city. Time is limited. I will be going to Alligator Farm of course, also.

Lightner Museum is a favorite for me. Great architectural opportunities as well as exhibits. The building has quite a history too.

The Alligator Farm is terrific!

Do not forget to visit the Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest and largest masonry fort in the continental United States. It's the Spanish fort around which St Augustine was built.

Everything for the most part. Horse drawn carriage (took a picture of a bride in a white carriage with a white horse).

The lighthouse is nice especially looking up the staircase.

Flagler College gives tours of the historic building which was a hotel for the wealthy. The Pirate Museum sounds strange but it is really neat. It is across from the Castillo. You will love the Alligator Farm rookery. I'm waiting a few more weeks to go photograph birds again. One of my favorite places.

It is definitely worth the price of admission. Very interesting artifacts, such as 300 year old cannons and Mortars. The view of the bay from the ramparts is fantastic.

The place is great!!! Alligators are nice, but the birds are fantastic!
It is nesting season and you may have the chance to get up close!

If you're going to the Alligator Farm, go to the rookery and use a long lens and get some great shots of the migrating birds.

If it is still there stay away from the Ripley Museum. Total fraud and waste of time. The Fountain Of Youth actually flows from a small stream in Georgia
I lived in St Augie for 8 years and all of the sites recommended are good. There is also a small Spanish fort further south on the intercoastal waterway... forget how to get there but worthwhile and one street with over hanging limbs,,, great evening shot. Visit the pond at the Catholic church... not the cathedral. At evening the fish jump out of the water... fun.

I think the fort you are referring to is Fort Matanzas.

Also, Washington State Park has interesting history (not THAT Washington).

And do not miss Cafe Alcazar Restaurant, located in the Lightner Museum on 25 Granada Street.
This cafe is situated in the "largest indoor swimming pool" in the old Alcazar Hotel. Of course, the pool is now empty and houses the restaurant.

And Washington State Park has miles of gorgeous flower and plant subjects, too. I spent a day there and thoroughly enjoyed it.
