The B24 and B25 and the people that built them and flew them were incredible. I live near the plant in Fort Worth (in Liberator Village) as a kid. Wonderful time. Got to fly in a 24 last year. What an experience.

Love this bomber. I used to live in Billings, MT in the 1970's where about a half dozen of these planes (privately owned) were stationed for use as water bombers in wildfire suppression. It was a real treat to see them fly out on early morning missions toward the mountains where the fires were burning. I think one is still on display there, but the rest were sold off to collectors in flying condition. John

I know this bomber and the others with the Collins foundation . They have a nice fleet of WWII beauties.

Thanks for sharing her with the group here.

Thanks for the shot. Really nice, were you allowed to see inside her?
We really enjoyed the Maid In The Shade, B25, when she was here in Gig Harbor. The CAF allowed us to tour her. She served in the European theater. They seemed to like the Girls on the planes. Thanks again enjoyed seeing an old beauty.

Nice shot.
I have some of Tondelayo making a turn around my house to go back to Chino and the Planes of Fame Museum (10 miles straight south of me).
My house and the one on the other side of the block have fairly large pools so from the air it makes a nice big bright blue pivot point for a turn. The pilot is even looking left and down like he sees me pointing a big white lens at him. But he was probably just orienting on the two pools for his turn.

Epic typo, it should say I live 10 miles straight south of the museum and airfield.

Thank you very much, Robert; if you would like to post some of your B-25 photos on this thread, feel free to do so.

Opps, that is 10 miles straight north of me.

OK, here are two. I had trouble with details and colors because it was a bright hazy day with the main layer of haze between myself and their altitude. They were pretty low from my house since I am on a slope a few hundred feet above the level of the river valley they flew over coming south from the airfield.

1. Tondelayo and friend swinging around my house to the South East
7DII, Canon 100-400L Mk 1 @ 400, 1/640 @ f/8.0, ISO 100 hand held bright contrasty day with heavy haze

2. Tondelayo after they finished their turn and headed back north past my house at closer range
all same as #1 but 1/500

Tondelayo was the name of movie character "White Cargo" (1942) - Hedy Lamarr
