We are continuing to push the boundaries of optical innovation and these results demonstrate the appetite for new technologies and camera systems.”

I must say that years ago when I was in the service I started out with Yashica, then Petri and then Nikon.
In the early 2000s, I went to digital point and shoot Nikons.
Around 2007 I kept seeing pictures made with Canons that looked great.
I got a Canon Point and Shoot, then a Canon 7D with a kit lens. As my knowledge and enthusiasm increased I moved to Canon "L" glass.
Pretty soon I was invested in Canon glass.
Then came the Canon 6D & 5DIV and more glass.
Needless to say a change for me would be costly.
I watched as Nikon & Sony came out with good and some better cameras.
I still hung on, and now Canon has moved on to the Canon mirrorless R & RP models that will use my "L" Glass with little if any penalty.
About two weeks ago I received my new Canon RP. Not a world (Sony, Nikon, etc.) beater, however a very capable full frame camera.
It is equal to or more capable in some areas than my 5DIV.
Bottom line, it is just like using my $$$ golf clubs, I still can't consistently shoot low numbers or take exceedingly good pics.
But, I occasionally have a sprinkling of "birdies" during a round that keeps me returning to the golf course with high hopes.
It is the same with photography, no matter how $$$ the camera is I can't find the consistency required to consider myself a journeyman photographer.
Thanks for listening to my rant.
