Please excuse any errors on my part; but, this is my first attempt at publishing a photo on this site. I do appreciate any and all constructive review of my work; after all, its the only way in can learn and improve.
Just had a friend stop by on a limb just outside of my computer room. Here are some photos; not too shabby for being shot through a "not exactly clean" window. Think there is no question about this being a Red Shoulder hawk; we have these, Cooper's, and Red Tailed here most all of the time.
This is edited and cropped in PSE 15. It was shot with my Nikon D610, at f8, 1/320, at 300mm.
Nice photo. Definitely a Red Shouldered hawk.
If this is what you can do shooting through a window you should post more often. Really nice job.
Let me add another of the photos from that group. This one required using the lasso tool to lighten the area around the eye. In the original it was nearly totally black. Again, I apologize for the photo not being quite as sharp I as would prefer.
I do appreciate the comments.

Lovely image of a stunning bird, and through a window...nice!
It looks like he posed for you.

My very sincere thanks for the compliments. As I said, this was a first shot at posting; I will do more in the future, hopefully improving my chances of doing it correctly. I'm an old guy (74 yo) attempting to get better at an activity that I thoroughly enjoy (photography), I did a little dabbling with post processing for several years but did not get serious about it until the past year (amazing what UTube has to offer in the way of training videos).
Thank each of you and I look forward to an interesting future for all of us.
