I don't know what it says, but I can still reply that reading in the bathroom can be either good OR bad depending on whatever else is going on in there.

You don't think English speaking folks would have the idea of studying the poisonous effect of reading in the bathroom??? If it was smoking, I would try to understand but reading????

It all depends on the seat design. The lower the seat is to the ground the better, as well as a slight angle towards the back, forcing the knees to come up towards ones chest. This exerts less strain on a set of muscles that have a proclivity for herniation. This also prevents the blood vessels under the thighs from being constricted and allows one to stay for at least one full chapter without the legs starting to numb up. Actually, I cheated because I read this on a Bazooka bubble gum wrapper.
