I just love looking at others awesome photos here and I can bet most of you have hundreds of images and many external hard drives full of more pics. I want to post some more of mine but I want to know what you want me to post. Any suggestions?
I like your Portraiture.
I'm on on shoot Sunday with my new Einsteins. Wish me Luck.
Going to be away for awhile

I also really enjoy your portraits, but also any nature or cool off the wall photos.

Very good eye. This was something I didn't notice until you pointed it out! Now when I look at her, the poor girl looks deformed!! This is an excellent example of why critiquing is so important. When we ask others to view and give input or critique to our photos, it is not pointing out that it is a bad image, but merely to give what their observations are about the image. To me, this is valuable and helps me to see that as well so the next time I am planning out a composition, I will keep those things in mind. In this photo, had I placed her arm differently, it could have made all the difference in the world. I appreciate that very much. When I posted this photo, I didn't see any flaws. With the help of my fellow photogs, some things were pointed out that could have made this image better. With that information, I can strive to get a better pose next time. If I take offense when others point things out, I will never improve. Thank you for your honest critique!

Post whatever strikes you. We're here to enjoy other's work and learn in the process...or at least that's my objective.
Excellent critique of a critique. Strange how sometimes we are convinced a picture is perfect when deep down we know it is'nt so. One reason I like this site is mostly an honest bunch of folks.
Good critique.

By Einsteins I gather you mean Paul Buffs Einsteins. Your lucky I bought a set of Allien Bees from them . The Einseins where on back order for three or four weeks and I needed them pronto. I would love to know how they work out for you!
Have you seen Buffs new huge relectors, how on earth they can produce the for the price they charge I do not know but suffice to say all his products are fabulous and every part is made by Americans and assembled in Nashville. Support them they are a great company.

You'll be missed PalePictures... best of luck to you though (although from what I've seen of your work, no luck is really necessary).

Val, there are only a small handful of people in this forum, (from what I can tell thus far, anyway) who are really adept at Portraiture.
I am in awe of them... and of your portraits in particular.
Please do keep them coming, but if you decide that it's time to branch out and try something new or different for yourself; I hope you share that, too!
I know what kinds of shots I am most comfy and have the most success with, but I'm always looking to try something new to keep things fresh, yanno?
This portrait you've shared is another good one... but I agree that the shoulder blade looks to be in a very awkward position.
I was talking to my friend the other day, who wants me to try my hand at glamour shots for her to give her fiancee'. We were discussing the location(s) and poses she had in mind... and I explained to her that some of the things I'm going to ask her to do, may feel unusually "odd" but will translate better in the photograph.
Since this is definitely your area of expertise: are there some poses you could suggest trying that might present as lovely glamour shots but not necessarily make her look too much slimmer?? She and her fiancee' celebrate the "curvy woman" and I know that many of the positions shown in glamour shots tend to focus on making her look a few pounds slimmer.
You have my thanks in advance and my admiration for your work... always. :)
Val- I have seen other portraits of yours and you do stunning work.
It is funny how sometimes a different pair of eyes see things.
My daughters thing about portraits is always looking at the "models" eyebrows-- "Mom-- photographers need to remind people to fix their eyebrows!"
