My Dad, Ian Hargraves is a great train enthusiast and I saw some of the comments that posters made about the old railway locomotives he posted.
I found a bunch of them and with your permission I am sending them from England.
This is my first post so I hope everything is acceptable to the non train people.

Yours sincerely

Simon Hargraves

Welcome to UHH the best photo site around, enjoyed your
show. My father is 83 and I try to hang with him as much
as possible. Like father, like son.

Well hello, Simon!

I'm so glad that you were moved to post finally :)

These are a really interesting trip back in photographic time!
I'm into trains, too... so  thank you for sharing these.

Is that a train station in London? Love that shot with the sunlight streaming in...

You've got a great variety showing here.

The last locomotive is from a class of engines called the "Schools class and were named after Public Universities and they were the most common engines on the Lodon to Hastings line. Now of course the engines are all electric and have the charecter of a rotten potato.

Thanks everyone for the comments and "Tilde" I am looking forward to your visit in March or April.

Just wondering, is that little Shay still on display in Vernonia and did they ever complete restoring it?
