First Post, Looking for ideas
I am new to UH, have been reading and watching for a week, would like some critique on these two images. Thanks.
Lovely ... looks good both ways.
I've been playing with levels in photoshop for a couple hours now and I couldn't resist trying it on your pic.
Welcome Libby.... They both look great to me. Nice Job.
Most UHer' seem to over do it, but I really like yours.

Love them both! Very nice. I also like the tweaks that photogrl gave it!
Thanks for the kind words, photogrl57. I like the Levels adjustment. Haven't played with that one yet, mainly using Curves. I was nervous about the first comment, so thanks again.

Oh never be nervous! If someone can point out something and give suggestions on how your image can be better and teach you how, it is the greatest lesson to learn!
Well, Val. You know, it's kind of like my babies, and will the rest of the world love them or see the "ugly duckling". Big sigh of relief. Thanks to all so far. Going to try that Levels thing now.

I think you are off to a great start. They both look good to me.
You are off to a great start, keep posting!
I liked both of your pictures, the colors are so vibrant, you captured the moment.
Love the pictures and the tweaks you did
I like both versions a lot. The one in color has a very realistic hue which so many people miss. I love b&w which I suspect you do too. Topaz has a wonderful Photoshop plugin for b&w - gives lots and lots of choices. My only criticism of these pictures is on the composition. I love what you did with the framing - my eye just wants the tree coming from the right side instead of starting out in the middle. Other than that, bravo!

These pictures are stunning both in color and B&W. The level adjustment made the sky bluer but the original had a class all its' own.

I'm drawn to the colour one. I love the colours of the canyon with the sky.
My only nick pick (and really this is just me) would be I wish the whole tree was in the picture. Ya that's it.
Wonderful photos, both, keep up the good work.
