I captured this today as I was leaving. I looked up and there it was ! I grabbed my camera a captured it just before it reformed into a straight line as it was only in this position for about 30sec. or less. I was proud to capture it although the quality isn't that great (didn't have time to make adjustments). Tell me what you think... Thanks!
Creepy hand cloud
Well if there was no PP on this then this is a cool capture.

PP? not sure what that is? Either way this photograph is completely unedited if that's what PP is.
it was creepy to me! Thanks for the comment!

excllant. this shot is proof why you should always carry a camera even a point and shoot. 8-) :!: Even if it was post processed in a photo editing program it is still a cool shot. People need to remeber that image manipulation has been around a lot longer than photoshop. and photographer have been manipulating photos in darkrooms as long as there has been darkrooms. this pooh poohing of edited photography is just elitest snobbery and has to stop.
Oh, PP= Post Processing!
No, I was leaving to go back to the lake to find some more shots and this was just hanging overhead. I took out my camera and took the shot.
Sinatraman, Thanks! My camera normally goes everywhere with me. People look at me like I'm a weirdo when I walk into a service station with a huge camera around my neck. I used to put it in the trunk but after missing a shot someone else was able to capture somewhere else close by, it now just stays on my neck. hints the quote below my post "the only thing that isn't a picture is the one you didn't take!"

I think I know why you think the cloud is creepy. I looked at it again and realized the cloud was giving the nazi salute.
WOW... looks like the hand of God...

I agree, although it would take away from the claim of being a creepy cloud if it was digitally manipulated, and it was being put off as not. Not saying this one is digitally altered though...
Remember when National Enquirer would show a so called photo of an erupting volcano with the face of the devil in the plume? They also recycled that photo for other disasters including killer hurricanes too.
Looks like a hand reaching out. Nice catch.
Check these out. They freaked me out, especially when the sun was out behind me. It was really weird. They are called mammatus clouds. Took them in 2010 fall.
