These images were taken at Brazos Bend State Park near Houston, TX. in August of 2012. I don't have all the information on each photo as it was lost when my computer decided to go south. I was shooting with a Canon 7D set to the lowest f stop on the lens and a shutter speed of 500 or more and suitable ISO for the lighting conditions.
Immature Blue Heron shot with 100-400mm at 400mm f5.6
Head shot, Purple Galinule shot with 400mm f2.8 with 2X set to 5.6
Blue heron with pollywog, shot with same combination as Galinule
Black Bellied Whistling Duck, shot with 100-400 at 400 f5.6
Immature marsh hen, taken with 100-400 at 5.6

Roy - The 7D is an excellent bird in flight camera body .... just do it!
