Mute Swan and Mallard

A couple from a small lake I visit frequently. Still a green novice for BIF & BOW photos. Should I crop the swan photo a little? Is the foreground in the Mallard shot too distracting? Critique welcome!

Excellent!

Per your posting timestamp, these are the first images on the first thread of our new forum.

I kinda like the open area around your swan, and I do not mind the out-of-focus grass foreground of your Mallard.

I agree on the OOF grass on the mallard ... works for me
