I didn't get to go out this year... sadly.
But I was gonna be "Jane" of "Tarzan and Jane" again anyway... so maybe it's for the best. ;)

Unfortunately society has made Halloween a lot different now than when I was growing up in the "good old days". My mom used to make homemade cake donuts and serve them warm along with hot apple cider as it was usually quite cold 50 miles north of chicago. We also made popcorn balls and carmel apples. Today, your candy better be shrink wrapped and xrayed to make sure some whacko didn't taint it. And we often lived in neighborhoods where everyone knew each other and looked out for each other.... sometimes I wonder about progress..and how a few can ruin things for many. Hmmmmm I think I'll go make some donuts and warm up that apple cider.....
