High ISO Birds

Dixiegirl Loc: Alabama gulf coast
 
These birds were all shot using the Canon 100-400. I shoot my birds in shutter priority (TV) mode with my shutter speed usually set on at least 400. Since I'm shooting mainly out a window, I set my ISO on at least 1,000 depending on the light outside the window. Any resulting noise is eliminated using Topaz DeNoise.

Yes very nice set...and the high iso seems to work very well.

Thanks very much, Bhowdy, and welcome! The fanned tail was due to his molt not being complete.

I'm glad I don't have to choose a favorite (though the blue wire thing under the warbler makes a different and mighty cool composition) - they are all just gorgeous. I've heard good things about Topaz. is it tedious to learn at first? (obviously worth it, regardless)
