Yep, BUT it is my back-up now for my Mk III. Like the D-50, but had to get the Mk III. :-)

I still use it. It's a great camera. And I have too many lenses to move up to a Mk III.

I do. Have done two upgrades since. I have it in the trunk of my car with a Tamron ($50) 18-300 on it and the 18-55 kit lens in the bag. I take more shots with it than the other two. The camera you have with you is the best camera. I still feel this is a great camera and will put 11X14's taken with it up agnist anything. - Dave

I love my 50D and it is my back up camera since upgrading to my 5D MarkII. That is my last upgrade to, I will not buy any more cameras only lens. Would I like a MarkIII sure but only if I win the lottery lol. Just to much money to justify getting it when I have the MarkII

Looks like some confusion on responses.

Is it a NIKON D50 or CANON EOS 50D?

The Canon EOS 50D is an excellent camera.

I have an old D-60 and cant seem to let it go. Its a real work horse and built like a tank. I do have some good glass and it dose all ask of it so far. I am looking at the 3200. Im a retired pro of 39 years with med format. Dont need any of that high priced stuff any more. So if it works for you keep shooting till you really need somthing better.

I don't go anywhere, when photographing, without my d50. I've thought about getting a new one but then I always talk myself out of it.
