I have to go with the Cards. Kyle Lohse (Cards pitcher) graduated from my (very small) Nor Cal high school. There was only 30 in my graduating class.

Game 6 had a most exciting ending.

No such thing as an evening without sports, thats why there are four seasons: baseball, football, basketball and hockey, with open times filled with golf, nascar, soocer and anything else you can see on ESPN.

Thankfully we (by we I mean hubby) only follows Hockey (we are Canadian after all) and normally CFL football.

After 7 years of living in Texas, he has started to watch Cowboy football (this only just started and I'm unsure how to address this new "situation"). Rangers Baseball is also new this season (started before their run for the title), I need to nip these two new sports in the bud before we end up having to get special channels for these sports as well.

Any advice would be welcome!

The fact that he watches hockey is a good thing (my favorite sport)I would definitely get him off football if he's going to be a cowboys fan though. If he must be a fan direct him to the texans. (born and raised in Philly makes it illegal for me to allow the spread of the cowboy fan base)

Tennis, Ice Skating competitions, Ballet, Gymnastics, Volleyball, Swimming, Speed boat racing, and Fishing - good any time of the year.

In our house, since my is Honduran, we watch a lot of "futbol" (soccer), especially the World Cup and anytime Honduras is playing ANYBODY! I've never been a sports fan and know practically nothing about it, but I know barely enough to irritate those who do. At work there are the inevitable hard-core football fans who are always starting one pool or another. I was asked once (ONCE!) if I wanted to participate. The conversation went something like this:

ME: There's something I don't understand about football...
ALBERT: What's that?
ME: Well......all I see is a bunch of guys in faggy pants and funny hats standing around in a field. Then they bend over and play with each others' butts for a while, then jump up, run around, fall down, then get up and do it all over again.

Needless to say, I was NOT asked to get in the pool again!!

My boys used to tell everyone how dumb I "was" about football.... then came the question... how dumb is she... She thinks a quarterback is a refund... LAUGHTER ABOUNDS!

Now as for the Cowboys and the Vikings, ya just gotta be loyal even when they really really do awful! :hunf:

Like I said, when my wife is home and Honduras is playing, that's what we watch. The world could be crumbling around us but we watch FUTBOL! And I HATE that guy yelling GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
OOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLL!

But I have been a bit leery of positions called "wide receivers" and "tight ends"......hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......
