Food for Thought

I just returned from 3 wonderful days and wow was I surprised at some of the posts. I have these "words of wisdom" taped to my monitor as food for thought everyday. I think its time I shared it with everyone.... take it or leave it.....but its the absolute truth....

INDESPENABLE

When you are feeling so important,
And your ego is in bloom,
When you simply take for granted
You're the wisest in the room,
When you feel your very absense
Would leave a great big hole
Just follow these instructions
They will humble any soul.

Take a bucket filled with water
Put your hand in to the wrist
Pull it out... the hole remaining
Is how much you will be missed.

Splash wildly when you enter,
Stir alot and splash galore
Then stop and in a minute
It looks just like before.

The moral of this story
Is do the best you can
Be proud, but please remember
THERE IS NO INDISPENSABLE MAN

It's just that good southern upbringing shining through! ;)

Oh, geeeezzzzzzzzz! I better get my flak jacket after saying that!

DISCLAIMER: The above statement about "good southern upbringing", though almost undoubtedly true, is not meant as a disparagement, put-down, insult nor to have any negative connotation whatsoever to or against anyone, male or female or otherwise, from any other section, state, city, county, country, province or "departamento" of the US or any other habitable location in this or any other universe. This does not imply that any other human or other creature, living or dead, is not of "good upbringing", whether of southern extration or otherwise.

WHEW!!!

Not painful at all, quite a delight as a matter of fact.... the southern way of life, or at least the older southern way of life, laid back, friendly, fiercely protective of their own, yep its great.

I often sit on my front porch swing in a white gauze dress, large brim hat, sipping lemonade and dabbing the pearls of sweat from my brow with the soft breeze and summer heat. Ahhhhhhhhh life in the south.........gotta love it ;)

Talent is God given - be humble.
Fame is man given - be grateful.
Conceit is self given - be careful.
