I'm afraid that you are right. I was thinking that a white bird like these egrets would be good for a B&W.

A white (overcast with the sun trying to break thru) or a grey blah sky might help. Good luck, Give you something to do.

I think the black and white version provides a little something different that I like. I would try a little tighter crop and see what you think.

They are both good, but the color photo is better. The B&W looks a little like an x-ray.
