I was referring to MWAC's maturity. I never said her friend's were :lol: I really don't understand the viciousness of the attacks on MWAC and Rachel, and I am not sure that I wouldn't have responded in kind. There have been a few people that when I see they have a post I just skip it. It isn't worth getting into it with them.
And I am sure that she had a little too much of something. Possible she is just very insecure.

After receiving some not so nice PM's from 2 members on this board, and speaking with both my husband (who knows how important I think giving back is) and speaking with my photography mentor this morning on my way to work, I originally had made the choice to leave the board, but I have made a committment to judge the photo contest, so until November 4th I will still be around, after that I will reevaluate my feelings.

In the mean time, I have decided that I will no longer be offering feedback to new members. I will wait until I see how well the received critique before offering my views/ideas.

Please please don't stop critiquing MWAC. I have followed many a post and your critiques are very helpful. You can critique me anytime, good or bad, that's what I'm here for!

I didn't read those posts, but I have seen and read many of yours and find them insightful, helpful, and encouraging. It is so easy to get "drawn in" to a debate/discussion without intending to do so. MWAC, only the mature would self examine and "confess". I second all the other motions - STAY.

You have cc'd mine, and of course my first thought was ahhh really, that bad? second thought, thanks for the honest comments and more to the point what you thought was wrong with suggestions on how to improve, next set of pics you commented again and commented on my improvement (thanks to your suggestions and some of the others MUCH more talented and experienced than me) so from a newbie in need of all the help she can get. PLEASE STAY... yes sinatraman I am saying it loudly :). Thank you for your honest appraisal of your own words, and apologies for those. now leave it to the moderators and ignore any additional comments from the person. I'm realitively new on the forum and as of yet, I have not had the privledge of having your C&C. However, I do read the advice you offer to some others. That's part of how I learn.

I feel that anyone that SINCERELY asks for your opinions, and opens themselves and their creativety to the critique of another is doing so with the sole intent of improving.

Don't let one individual, that apparently in their own mind is not in need of honest critique, allow you or any others to cheat the rest of us out of our souce of improvement. This forum has given some of us soooooo much. Let's not allow that to be changed. PLEASE!!!!

Please don't leave, your advice is right on, and I love your photos.
Maybe what needs to happen is there should be a place to just post pics for people that do not want a critique and another thread for people who do want critiques.
Right now they are all on the same thread so there is a lot to wade through. I think it would be nice to have a place to just post photos for people to enjoy and another one to sincerly ask for critiques , if you post there you must be willing to accept critique politely and if you critique you must be willing to accept varying opinions with grace.

Please stay. I think the bantering went both ways so you are not all to blame. I left for a short time because of a few not so nice people on here but decided they aren't worth it and I want to continue to learn and give. BTW, how do you put someone on "ignore" on here?
