An interview with MargaretR

Thank you - I'm thrilled to have won a place in the competition!

1) How long have you been into photography and what got you started?
I first started taking photos when I was at primary school (many years ago!) and was given a box Brownie.

2) Have you had any formal training and what kind of photography do you do most?
I have continued to take many photos over the years, especially of family and travel, but have had no formal training. I now belong to a Photographic Society whose members, some of them professionals, are quite exceptional photographers from whom I have learnt a lot very quickly.

3) What inspired you to take your winning shot?
'Lucie in Blue', for which I had the idea a while ago, was taken for a club competition and is of my 8 year old granddaughter.

4) What equipment did you use and was there any special setup?
I used my new Olympus OMD-EM5 (14-42 Zuiko lens) on a tripod. I took it indoors, with only natural light from a window to her right.

5) Would you change anything if you could do it again?
I don't think I would have done anything differently.

6) If you couldn't do photography what else would you do?
If I couldn't do photography? There'd be no substitute!

7) Is there somewhere we can see more of your work?
I'm afraid I don't have any photos in a public forum where they could be viewed.
- We look forward to more on Ugly Hedgehog of course!

Thank you, but I only facilitate the artists that have put their work out there. Thank you again to everyone who participates and votes to make this happen! Steve
